[Fish Breeder]

Mapenzi is a lecturer at the University of Dodoma, he holds a PhD in Marine Sciences (mariculture). His research is focused on tilapia breeding and genetics. He has emphasis on natural hybridization of tilapiine species to produce all-male fish and the rearing of tilapia in brackish water. Other areas of research interest include fisheries management, fisheries resources conservation, mariculture, and integrated agri-aquaculture.
